Just like last week, two big releases have hit the screens today,
Daawat-e-Ishq and Khoobsurat. Both the films created a lot of buzz and
were very well promoted. Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra starrer Daawat-e-Ishq has opened to an average occupancy and has turned out to be a crowd puller in small towns. Given that both Parineeti and Aditya have a loyal fan base amongst all ages, the film is expected to enjoy a good weekend. According to ongoing trends, the film will garner around Rs. 5 to 6 crores today.
While Daawat-e-Ishq has the support of the masses, Khoobsurat is attracting the multiplex audience. The film has opened to decent numbers and is expected to collect around Rs. 4 to 5 crores today. Even though the critics have given this royal romantic drama a thumbs up, its weekend collection will strongly depend on a good word of mouth.
In the meantime, Priyanka Chopra's power packed Mary Kom has minted Rs. 65.70 crores in two weeks from its release. Finding Fanny which was made on a budget of Rs. 20 crores has entered the safe zone and recovered its budget by making a total of Rs. 38 crores worldwide in one week.
Creature 3D has turned out to be quite a disappointment and has managed to bank only Rs. 19.75 crores in a week's time.
